Lux 1 Solar Lighting Unit

Compact Solar Light Built for Smaller Areas That Still Need Reliable Site Lighting

The Lux 1 is a self-contained solar lighting unit built for mining camps, accommodation villages, laydown areas and access points where space is tight but reliable lighting isn’t optional. It delivers 10,800 lumens of wildlife-friendly amber LED (ideal for remote locations) across roughly 20m by 32m, all from a 1m by 1m concrete base.

There’s no generator, no fuel run and no mains connection required. Drop it in with a forklift, set the pole and it runs on its own. The integrated microwave presence sensor dims automatically when the area is clear and returns to full power when someone enters the vicinity, saving battery for when it’s actually needed.

Why Choose This Product

Light Where You Need It, Only When You Need It

Light Where You Need It, Only When You Need It

Everything sits in one IP66 rated head unit, panel, battery, LED and controls in a single sealed enclosure. There's no separate cabinet to place and nothing extra to service. The 120W panel tilts to suit the site and the season, keeping the unit running through the shorter days.
On-Demand Presence Dimming

On-Demand Presence Dimming

The integrated microwave sensor lowers light levels when there's no activity in the field and returns to full power when someone enters the area. Battery power is conserved for when it's actually being used. The amber LED runs at 1700K, producing less glare than traditional white floodlights.
Single-Person Setup, No EWP Required

Single-Person Setup, No EWP Required

At approximately 1.3 tonnes on a 1m x 1m concrete base, the Lux 1 is stable enough for exposed conditions and rated to 100km/h winds. The pole bends back to ground level, so servicing the light head doesn't need an EWP or a crew and all the site needs is an even, compact ground.
Forklift Moveable

Forklift Moveable

The concrete base is forklift moveable, so repositioning as site requirements change is straightforward. Compact footprint, no fixed infrastructure required.

Built for Sites Where Space Is Tight

Mining

Mining camps, accommodation villages, laydown areas and access points where a large trailer unit isn't practical but reliable lighting is non-negotiable.

Civil Construction

Smaller active work zones, compounds and access points on civil sites running after dark.

Agriculture

Machinery bays, storage areas and access points on large properties where mains lighting isn't available and a compact footprint matters.

Defence & Government

Remote installations and forward deployments requiring self-sufficient, zero-emission lighting in a minimal footprint.
